Robert R. Fowler Crew

Robert R. Fowler Crew
Lt. Robert R. Fowler, was a B-17 pilot during WWII > photo from 1944. There is no unit identification on the photo but two of
the crew are wearing bomber jackets on which the squadron patch is visible. It is the "Alley Oop on dinosaur" patch of the 327th.
The tail markings on the B-17 in the background are hard to make out but appear to be a white triangle with possibly the letter "B" which would
make the unit the 92nd Bomb group. Any further information regarding this crew would be appreciated

Met a great 92nd Vet!!
327th bomb squadron
I have attached a picture of Paul taken at the Reading, Pa. WWII
Weekend air show. What an outgoing spirited guy he is! He has put together
a 30 page booklet describing his missions, being shot down on the "Lille Raid" and all about
the French family that helped him when he bailed out. He went back to visit
with them about 10 years ago and related that it was absolutely tremendous
to see them again. He visited also the exact spot where he came down!
Thanks much to a fellow 8th enthusiast,
Mike Crosman
