The weather cooperated this year and the WWII MV Convoy went off basically without a hitch. We had 14 vehicles participate (we lost a
pretty good number in the 26hrs prior to the event due to a number of reasons). We did have more participants this year and we were nearly tapped out in terms of seats which is
good.
The highlight of the day was the stop in New Bloomfield, MO, who had a town celebration as we arrived. We got a free dinners with pork steaks, music, kids asking us for
autographs....it was very very nice.
All vehicles made it through the route, to include the creek fords (which were nearly dry) and the bridge/switchback. The event MPs did an outstanding job as well....
Good job to everyone.
