YB-40's

I have only seen one model of a YB-40 and that was at the "Air Zoo Museum" in Kalamazoo MI.  Tim's version is remarkable.

YB-40, 92nd Bomb Group, 327th BS

Close-up of .50 cal guns. This had to be a disconcerting view to any Luftwaffe pilot.

Tim Dunavin's latest creations. YB-40's Woolaroc and Chicago. These two creations make for an extraordinary photograph. Two YB-40's flying in formation. Yes they are models, but they certainly look real don't they?

Tim Dunavin with his model of Woolaroc. This picture was taken as he presented the model to the Nephews of 92nd Veteran that flew with Woolaroc both as a Yb-40 and then later as a standard B-17 during the war.
